Dr. Mauricio Soto, Global R&D Artificial Intelligence Program Manager at Hitachi Energy.
His work involves creating AI models for the design, manufacturing, and monitoring of transformers. At Hitachi Energy, he is in charge of driving artificial intelligence innovation, strategy, intellectual property, collaborations, IEEE/Cigre participation and publications. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.Sc. from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.
Dr. Soto, senior member and leader of IEEE and Cigre, was recognized as “Individual with Exceptional Ability in the National Interest” by the U.S. Government and has served as program committee member for six international conferences, as keynote speaker, published 15+ research papers, and 5 patents.
