France, Rueil Malmaison: Schneider Electric Norway has been awarded a transformer order from Statoil for work related to power distribution at Johan Sverdrup oil field.

The order includes the supply of 55 MVA oil-insulated power transformers and several dry-type distribution transformers, reports Offshore.

The company has also won an order for medium voltage switchgears, protection relays and energy management and control system.

The two contracts have a combined value of $12.3 million.
