Rediex (Investment and Export Committee) highlighted electrical transformers amongst new products in export which surged at the end of last year.
According to Rediex, in the new products sector, electrical transformers topped the list of the most exported items at the end of 2013 in Paraguay.
However, manufacturing sector of Paraguay is well below average in South America according to Annual Statistics of Latin America and three times less than the production of Uruguay. Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay are the countries with the largest industrial exports in South America.
