Nigeria: Residents of Ogbagi-Akoko in Akoko North-West and Ugbe-Akoko in Akoko North-East Local Government areas have finally got new transformers after years of blackout. The transformers were provided through the efforts of Ifeoluwa Ehindero, the member representing Akoko North Federal Constituency.
The development was confirmed in a statement signed by Blessing James Akeju, Chief Press Secretary to Ehindero, who described the intervention as part of the lawmaker’s ongoing commitment to improving critical infrastructure and the welfare of his constituents.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Victor Ojo Adetona (Odagbaragaja III), the Owa of Ogbagi land, praised the gesture, saying, “This transformer is more than just electricity; it represents hope, progress, and the return of economic and social life to our community. We thank Hon. Ife Ehindero for remembering Ogbagi and for bringing light back to our people.”
At the commissioning ceremony, Muhammad Bankole, Legislative Assistant to Ifeoluwa Ehindero, reaffirmed the lawmaker’s dedication to the continued development of his constituency.
The new transformers are expected to improve electricity supply, support local businesses, and enhance the daily lives of the people in these communities.
