France, Paris: CHINT presented a range of transmission, distribution and energy storage technologies at CIGRE 2026, with a focus on equipment for evolving grid requirements in Europe.
Among the products displayed were 1,000 kV low-loss, low-noise oil-immersed power transformers and 750 kV natural ester oil-immersed transformers. The company also showcased SF₆-free GIS at 24 kV, 145 kV and 420 kV.
For large-scale energy storage applications, CHINT presented its 13.8 MW PCS Integrated Substation, designed as a compact, plug-and-play system intended to reduce on-site installation work and space requirements.
Other technologies included cascading energy storage systems, solid-state transformers, solid-state circuit breakers and Data Center Power Pods.
CHINT also highlighted integrated power solutions for data centres, including substation configurations spanning from 400 kV transmission interfaces to medium-voltage distribution, combined with battery energy storage and modular power supply systems.
Beibei Zheng, Vice President of CHINT Global, said customers are increasingly looking for integrated solutions that combine reliability, flexibility and scalability.
