UAE, Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is expected to award the contract for the Tawimura 33/11kV substation project in Dubai’s Lesaily area during the second quarter of 2026.
The contract covers construction work along with related civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) activities for the substation, which will be built on plot number 9310710.
The project was re-tendered on 17 December 2025, with companies submitting bids by 28 January 2026.
According to a source familiar with the project, the contract award is likely to take place in May 2026. The development is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2027.
Three companies submitted bids for the project. AASA Middle East Contracting offered $2.26 M, while Emirates CODE Contracting Company submitted a bid worth $3.49 M. Pepco Engineering Company entered the lowest bid at $1.53 M.
The planned substation forms part of efforts to strengthen electricity infrastructure in the Lesaily area as Dubai continues to expand its power network.
