United States, Texas, McKinney: Emerald Transformer has formed a strategic partnership with Texas Transformers & Equipment (TTE) to expand domestic assembly and support for transformer and substation projects.
Under the agreement, TTE will supply pad-mounted transformers and substation units, while Emerald Transformer will carry out final assembly in the United States. Its work will include processing, tanking, oil filling, wiring, electrical testing and shipment.
Emerald will also provide commissioning, field technical services and lifecycle support for transformers, substations and other critical power infrastructure. The companies said the partnership will serve utilities, data centres, renewable energy projects, federal infrastructure and industrial facilities.
“By bringing together Texas Transformers & Equipment’s manufacturing expertise and Emerald Transformer’s assembly, testing and nationwide field service capabilities, we’re able to provide customers with a complete solution that supports growing demand for dependable power infrastructure,” said Stuart Prior, CEO of Emerald Transformer.
The combined offer includes comprehensive testing and quality assurance, streamlined project execution from manufacturing through start-up, and an industry-leading five-year warranty.
Shrirang Golhar, Head of Sales and Engineering at TTE, said the partnership provides customers with “a reliable path from manufacturing through commissioning and long-term customer support”.
The companies also expect the partnership to support certain projects covered by Build America, Buy America requirements, although compliance will be assessed individually according to product configuration, manufacturing processes and domestic-content rules.
The agreement is intended to strengthen the US power-equipment supply chain by increasing domestic assembly capacity and providing customers with local testing, engineering and field support.
