India: GE Vernova T&D India Ltd recorded a robust start to FY26, reporting a 57 % increase in new order inflows in the first quarter (April–June), totalling $184.8 M (Rs. 16,199 M), up from $117 M (Rs10,290 M) in Q1FY25. Domestic orders accounted for 86 % of the total inflows.

The company’s order backlog reached $1.47 B (Rs.129,649 M) as of 30 June 2025, with 65 % of orders from private sector clients, indicating rising private participation in India’s power infrastructure upgrades.

Key Q1FY26 order wins include:

  • Multiple contracts from private TBCB developers for 765 kV transformers and reactors in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
  • A 420 kV GIS order from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Orders for 420 / 245 kV GIS in Maharashtra and 765 kV AIS equipment with automation packages from EPC players.
  • Export contracts for AIS / GIS equipment to Europe, South-East Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

Commissioned projects include:

  • 765 kV AIS and 400 kV GIS bay and 500 MVA transformation capacity for PGCIL at Kotra, Uttar Pradesh.
  • 765 kV GIS bays, 1500 MVA ICT, and 330 MVAR reactor for Adani at Khavda, Gujarat.

CEO Sandeep Zanzaria credited the company’s strong Q1 to India’s grid modernisation and rising energy demands, noting a disciplined approach to securing high-margin orders and sustained momentum in upcoming quarters.
