Germany: GE Vernova Inc has secured orders to supply 71.5 MW of onshore wind turbines for projects in Germany, the company announced on 23 April.
The contracts were awarded by Münster-based developer BBWind, a returning customer focused on community wind projects, and by Greenvolt Power, a Portugal-based renewables group working with GE Vernova for the first time.
The agreements were booked in the fourth quarter of 2025, although further details about the individual projects have not been disclosed.
GE Vernova operates a manufacturing facility in Salzbergen, Germany, where key components such as machine heads, drivetrains, and hubs are produced. This site is expected to support the newly awarded projects.
Commenting on the development, Gilan Sabatier, Chief Commercial Officer for onshore wind in international markets at GE Vernova, said that the orders reflect customer confidence in the company’s turbine technology and its ability to deliver reliable renewable energy solutions. He also highlighted the role of local manufacturing in supporting Germany’s wind energy ambitions.
