Switzerland, Zurich: Hitachi Energy has appointed Andy Goggin as Executive Vice President and Head of the Americas Region, effective 27 July 2026.

Goggin joins Hitachi Energy from Siemens Energy, bringing more than 27 years of energy industry experience. His previous roles include Vice President of New Generation Sales – North America and Senior Vice President of Power Generation Sales for North America.

The appointment comes as the Americas, particularly the United States, remain one of Hitachi Energy’s key growth markets. The company cited rising demand for grid infrastructure, industrial electrification and AI-driven power consumption as major factors shaping electricity demand in the region.

Hitachi Energy is allocating more than $2.3 B in the Americas to expand capacity, strengthen local manufacturing and service capabilities, and support customers facing growing demand for reliable and sustainable power.

Goggin succeeds Anthony Allard, who has led the region through a period of growth and expansion. Allard will now focus on his role as Chief Marketing & Sales Officer for Hitachi Energy.

The company said the leadership appointment supports its continued focus on regional growth as investment in grid expansion, electrification and power infrastructure accelerates across the Americas.
