Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek: Kyrgyzstan’s power transformer industry is gaining global traction, with export figures showing significant growth in early 2025.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the country exported 4,450 transformers in the first four months of the year. The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) remains the primary market, led by Russia, which imported 4,054 units, and Kazakhstan, which received 213.
However, Kyrgyzstan’s exports also reached markets far beyond its regional partners. The United Arab Emirates received 60 transformers, followed by Uzbekistan with 50, Hong Kong (China) with 33, and Iceland with 32 units. Smaller deliveries went to Turkey, Poland, and Belarus.
Government officials highlight this diversification as a clear signal of international demand for Kyrgyz-manufactured industrial goods. The spread of destinations reflects not only geographic reach but also increasing trust in the quality and performance of Kyrgyz electrical equipment.
This export success underlines the country’s potential to further integrate into global supply chains and strengthen its position within key international markets.
