Norway: LAJE AS, part of Qben Power, has been awarded a contract worth approximately $13 M (NOK 125 M) by grid operator Lede for reconstruction work associated with the new Gulliåsen transformer station.
The project covers the rebuilding of existing 66/132 kV power lines connecting to the station, with LAJE acting as the main contractor. The scope includes construction and installation of 132 kV overhead lines on steel poles, foundations, line equipment and associated components.
LAJE will also carry out testing, inspections and quality assurance before handover, while coordinating its work with Lede, subcontractors and other contracts connected with construction of the transformer station.
The project is intended to restore and expand central and regional grid capacity in the area, strengthening the local power supply and supporting further network development.
The contract is expected to be formally entered into after the waiting period expires on 17 August 2026, with completion scheduled for November 2030.
Qben Power said the award takes its order backlog above NOK 1 billion. Anders Granshagen, CEO of Qben Infra, said the project strengthens LAJE’s position in Nordic power-line and grid-development projects while expanding its experience and capacity for larger infrastructure assignments.
