Vietnam, Hai Phong: LS Eco Energy has announced that its Vietnamese subsidiary LS-VINA has supplied extra-high-voltage cables for a major power infrastructure project in Vietnam.
The cables were delivered for a new urban development in Hai Phong, led by local conglomerate Vingroup. The project, Vinhomes Vu Yen, is a large-scale mixed-use city combining residential, commercial, and tourism facilities as part of wider urban expansion plans.
LS-VINA, originally established in 1996 as LG-VINA, has developed into a cable exporter with annual revenue of around $675 M (1 trillion won). The company continues to expand its role in regional power infrastructure supply chains.
According to LS Eco Energy, rapid urbanisation and increasing investment in power infrastructure are strengthening LS-VINA’s medium- to long-term growth outlook.
The company also confirmed that it has secured certification for 230 kV-class extra-high-voltage cables from a global certification body. This approval is expected to support its entry into new markets, including North America.
The supply to the Hai Phong project highlights the growing demand for high-capacity power transmission systems in large-scale urban developments across Vietnam, where infrastructure expansion is closely linked to economic growth and rising electricity needs.
