USA, Texas, Frisco: Mission Critical Group has entered into an agreement to merge with CORE Transformers, a supplier of engineered-to-order transformers for data centre, grid and industrial applications.
The transaction is expected to close within the next 30 days, subject to customary closing conditions. After closing, CORE will become part of MCG while continuing to operate under the CORE brand with its existing leadership team.
MCG provides electrical infrastructure solutions for mission-critical facilities, including data centres, manufacturing plants and energy infrastructure. The company said the merger will expand its access to transformer capacity and bring more of the electrical powertrain design process in-house.
CORE supplies custom transformer solutions and maintains an inventory of more than 1,000 transformers available for immediate deployment. The company also draws on more than 5.5 million ft² of global production capacity, with custom transformer delivery possible in as little as 16 weeks.
According to the companies, the merger is intended to support faster project delivery for complex electrical infrastructure projects, where transformer availability and design coordination can affect the path from planning to energisation.
CORE will continue serving its reseller and distribution customer base, while the combination with MCG is expected to add another channel for its transformer offering.
The agreement reflects continued demand for transformer capacity linked to data centres, industrial electrification and grid infrastructure projects.
