USA: Meta has signed a Strategic Capacity Agreement with Trench Group covering the supply of high-voltage bushings for its expanding hyperscale data centre infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Trench Group will provide dry-type RIS bushings for Meta projects. The components will be manufactured at HSP facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Germany, as well as at Trench France, and delivered through a global network of OEM partners.
The agreement is intended to support grid connections for Meta’s growing data centre portfolio as electricity demand from AI and cloud computing continues to increase.
Trench Group said the arrangement will draw on its manufacturing capacity across North America and Europe to support delivery requirements for hyperscale projects.
The company’s Charlotte facility is part of its recent expansion of US production capacity for high-voltage grid components.
