Germany, Regensburg: Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH has officially changed its name to Reinhausen GmbH.

The move comes 125 years after the company was first registered by Andreas Scheubeck and reflects its development from a traditional manufacturing business into a globally active technology provider in the energy sector.

According to company representatives, the previous name no longer fully represented its current scope of activities. Removing the term “Maschinenfabrik” is intended to align the company’s identity with its international presence and broader technological focus.

The well-known MR brand will remain in use, now defined as “Made by Reinhausen”. This designation is intended to represent consistent quality standards across all locations, regardless of where products are developed, manufactured or delivered.

The company emphasised that the name change does not affect ongoing operations. Existing contracts, orders and agreements remain unchanged and fully valid.

The update marks a continuation of the company’s long-standing position in power grid technology, where it is recognised for its products and expertise, particularly in tap changer technology and grid reliability.
