Germany, Munich: Pekka Lundmark has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of Siemens Energy AG, succeeding Matthias Rebellius, who will step down on 30 September 2026.

The Munich Local Court appointed Lundmark with effect from 1 October following a request by Siemens Energy’s Executive Board. Shareholders will formally vote on his election at the company’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on 25 February 2027.

Rebellius has served on the Supervisory Board since Siemens Energy’s spin-off in 2020 as one of two representatives of Siemens AG. His departure follows the planned reduction of Siemens AG’s shareholding in Siemens Energy and his departure from the Siemens AG Executive Board at the end of September.

Lundmark brings more than three decades of leadership experience across technology and energy businesses. He served as CEO of Nokia from 2020 to 2025, during a period that included the rollout of 5G networks and expansion into AI data-centre networking.

Before joining Nokia, he was CEO of Finnish energy company Fortum, overseeing energy generation and trading assets. Earlier in his career, he led industrial crane manufacturer Konecranes for more than a decade.

Siemens Energy Supervisory Board Chairman Joe Kaeser said Lundmark’s experience in global energy markets, technology and artificial intelligence would support the company’s strategic priorities.
