Germany: Siemens Energy reported $20.6 B (€17.9 B) in orders in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, with strong growth at Grid Technologies alongside record order intake at Gas Services.
The company’s order backlog increased to $186 B (€162 B) at the end of the quarter, while the book-to-bill ratio stood at 1.57. Siemens Energy said demand was particularly strong in the United States.
Quarterly revenue rose 18.5 % year on a comparable basis to $13.2 B (€11.4 B), with all business segments recording growth. Profit before special items increased to $1.86 B (€1.62 B) from $572 M (€497 M) in the same period last year, while net income reached $1.37 B (€1.19 B).
For the transformer and wider grid sector, Grid Technologies remains one of the company’s fastest-growing businesses. Siemens Energy now expects the segment to achieve comparable revenue growth of 25 % to 27 % in fiscal year 2026, with a profit margin before special items of 18 % to 20 %.
CEO Christian Bruch attributed the performance to continued growth in global electricity demand, which is supporting demand for the company’s equipment and services.
Across the group, Siemens Energy expects 14 % to 16 % comparable revenue growth for fiscal year 2026, with net income of around $4.6 B (€4 B) and free cash flow before tax of approximately $9.2 B (€8 B).
Siemens Gamesa also reported a positive quarterly result for the first time since fiscal year 2022 and continues to target break-even for the full year.
