Denmark, Esbjerg: Stillstrom and Semco Maritime have signed a letter of intent (LOU) covering the manufacture and delivery of elements for a new offshore power and charging solution.
The agreement follows completion of the design phase for the Local Equipment Room, or LER, which was carried out by Semco Maritime.
The LER will house the transformer, medium-voltage switchgear, communication equipment, ventilation and fire safety systems. It will control power delivery to vessels as well as communication between the charging system’s safety systems.
Semco Maritime plans to manufacture the equipment at its Esbjerg facility.
Under a separate LOU between Semco Maritime and Siemens, Siemens will supply the switchgear and control systems for the project.
