USA, Texas, The Woodlands: Two electrical workers were injured on 8 September after a transformer exploded in The Woodlands, Texas.
The incident occurred early in the afternoon near the intersection of Branch Crossing Drive and Woodlands Parkway. Officials from the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office quickly responded to the scene.
The workers, employed by Entergy, sustained burns and facial injuries. Both were reported to be in stable condition and are expected to make a full recovery.
In a statement, Entergy Texas reaffirmed its focus on worker safety: “At Entergy Texas, safety is a core value. Earlier today, two of our employees were injured while on the job and are expected to make a full recovery. We will review the details of the incident to identify potential opportunities to strengthen our safety practices. Currently, our thoughts and prayers are with our employees and their families as they recover from this incident.”
Investigations into the cause of the explosion are ongoing.
