Ukraine, Odesa: State transmission operator Ukrenergo has put six inoperable transformers and autotransformers damaged or destroyed by Russian strikes up for public auction in the Odesa region.
The equipment will be sold as secondary raw material for further processing, with auctions scheduled for 7 September through the Prozorro.Sales platform.
Three 125 MVA autotransformers are being offered with starting prices of $40,000 (UAH 1.79 M), $46,000 (UAH 2.04 M) and $37,000 (UAH 1.64 M).
Two additional transformers, each rated at 200 MVA, have starting prices of $49,000 (UAH 2.19 M) and $64,500 (UAH 2.88 M). The remains of a 10 MVA transformer are being offered for $3,200 (UAH 144,800).
Together, the six units had a combined capacity of 785 MVA before being damaged and carry a total starting value of approximately $239,700 (UAH 10.7 M).
Participation is open to eligible legal entities and individual entrepreneurs that meet statutory requirements and have no outstanding debts to Ukrenergo.
The Odesa auctions form part of a broader disposal programme. On 17 August, Ukrenergo put 16 destroyed or damaged transformers across five Ukrainian regions up for sale with a combined starting value of $796,000 (UAH 38.53 M).
The state-owned operator said proceeds from the sales will be used to support its own operations.
